Better late than never. These pictures are from our visit with Sarah and Therin in November. We were fascinated by the bounty and beauty of their garden space. It was fun to dig up the ground and fill it with branches, leaves, compost and dirt to create a Hugelkultur for planting next spring. It was wonderful to see all the innovations and new buildings Sarah has worked on since our last visit.
Not easy to spot in the picture but the bees were still busy gathering nectar when the sun was shining.
The local deer herd was wandering through the garden looking for a snack.
The finished Hugelkultur.
