Some summer images.

Recent outings looking for newly fledged birds and summer flowers in bloom netted a few gems for me to share with you. I am following the progress of the Peregrine Falcons on the Renaissance tower. Here are two of the 4 offspring I photographed the other day. They are wearing their latest outfits having changed from white to a more colorful garb.

I saw one of the parents go into a dive as it left the building, presumably looking for something to feed those hungry mouths.

It then tucked into a high speed dive and things got a bit blurry.

Some more favorites from our recent trip to the Boreal Forest where I was delighted to see a White-throated Sparrow in it’s nesting territory. I see them each spring and fall as they migrate through our yard. They have a lovely distinctive  call.

Another delight was to see our provincial flower emblem growing in it’s native habitat. You have to love the rich color of the Western red lilly.

A few other flowers and birds round out my latest photo excursions. You can see them in this gallery by clicking on one of the pictures.
