My abiding interest in Peregrine Falcons paid off today. I have a fascination with the pair that is nesting on the Renaissance Tower in Saskatoon. With my tripod and camera in hand I set out on the Meewasin trail maintaining a safe distance from other trail users and ended up with my camera pointed at one of the Peregrines. She (it turned out to be the female) began to make vocalizations and the other bird flew over, landed on top of her and competed a copulation. It looks promising for fertile eggs soon. The whole process took a few seconds and I felt so lucky to have my camera set up at the correct spot.

Amazing – can’t believe you managed this.
Trent – you astound me with your photography! You could do a book that would have incredible photo shots – just have to find out how to add videos! Well – a digital book!
You have photographed so many birds in such hardly ever seen ‘scenes’. Your patience has been well rewarded and we get to tag along – so great! Thank you!
