What a beautiful morning I had wandering along the Meewasin trail by the South Saskatchewan River. It truly was a day to be thankful for all the blessings we celebrate in this country. The fall leaves have mostly been squashed into submission by a record snowfall over the last few days. There are still many moments of beauty with leaves, berries and bushes casting their colorful coats over the ground or standing proud against a blurred backdrop of evergreens or snow. The migrating warblers and sparrows were intent on foraging and did not seem to mind being photographed today. Here is a selection of images to illustrate my joyful feelings and thankfulness for nature’s bounty.
