A legacy project

My friend Dianne Phillips asked if I would do the finishing touches on an heirloom chest that her uncle made for her and Rob when they were married in 1988. The chest was designed and built by Harvey Kipps with an aromatic cedar lining and panels for his sister Phyllis Baker (Dianne’s mother) to add paintings. Some 30 plus years later the project was ready for final assembly and finishing.

There is a superb amount of talent evident in Harvey and Phyllis finished project. Both are skilled artists with an unique combination of talents.

Here are some pictures of the finished project.
